Led by Music Director Alan Futterman and sponsored by Kitsap Bank and Bremerton-Kitsap Airporter, Bremerton WestSound Symphony opens their 78th season, which will be unlike any before it. We are departing from our system of season ticket subscriptions and beginning an enrollment in an exclusive Symphony Membership, which gives our patrons and their entire household access to our new Bremerton WestSound Symphony Virtual Concert Hall and any live concerts we are able to perform this year, for one low price. Purchase a household Membership online at bremertonwestsoundsymphony.org or call for more information.
Our October concert, “Oktoberfest”, features music from Central Europe, including selections from Brahms’s Fourth Symphony, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Dvořák’s Biblical Songs, Mahler’s Eighth Symphony: “Symphony of a Thousand”, Mendelssohn’s Three Choruses from Elijah, and a special encore of Saint-Saëns’s Allegro appassionato, Opus 70, performed by Mya King.
Our November concert is “Music from the Silver Screen” and includes movie soundtracks from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Vertigo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, The Magnificent Seven, Nosferatu/Dracula, and The Star Wars Suite.
Our Florentine Quarantine Music Project videos will remain free of charge and can be accessed on our website.
