Letter from our Board President and Music Director
We both want to thank all the staff, musicians, board, and patrons of the Bremerton WestSound Symphony for your support during these most unusual times.
The warm weeks of summer give us a chance to look backward at a very unique spring and ahead to a somewhat unpredictable new season. We have worked creatively for the past several months to provide great music in the form of weekly virtual performances for your enjoyment. Behind the scenes, our committees have been working in overdrive to plan and fund a flexible season that can provide entertaining virtual concerts, as well as live performances, when the time is right to do so.
Because music is a group activity, we must be cautious and institute safety measures to protect the health of the entire Symphony community. Our mission to create wonderful musical experiences continues undaunted, whether these are enjoyed in the concert hall or at home on your TV or computer.
To make this possible, we are departing from our system of season ticket subscriptions to an enrollment in an exclusive Symphony Membership, which gives you access to our new Bremerton WestSound Symphony Virtual Concert Hall and any live concerts we are able to bring you this year. This is a necessary change, so that this season we can continue to bring you the variety of music that you enjoy.
Please help us keep great music alive in Kitsap County by signing up for a Symphony Membership right away! And, when you sign up, please consider making an additional donation to the BSA. Your generous support is vital to our ongoing operational needs, and we will be grateful for whatever amount you can give!
With our staff working almost exclusively from home, we realize that it often takes longer than usual to respond to your inquiries and requests. Thank you for your patience, and for your ongoing support during these challenging times.
We wish you safety and good health as you enjoy this season’s performances by the Bremerton WestSound Symphony!
Connie Lord, Board President
