Calling all Volunteers!
Are you looking for a way to support the Symphony besides monetary donations and sponsorships? Our Volunteers are at the heart of everything we accomplish; they keep our wheels turning and are our very best ambassadors to the community.
We have a spot that needs your gifts and skills, even if you only have a few hours to share. If you are interested or want to find out more, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Kristin Guy. There’s something for everybody!
Administrative
Data entry: helping maintain arts people data compilation for donors, staff, patrons, and
volunteers
Phone calls: connecting with our patrons and community to let them know about upcoming
events or programs
Mailings: help the office complete mailings for advertisement and donation purposes
Set-up/clean-up crew: assist stage manager before and after concerts
Posters and flyers: distribute posters and flyers throughout the community
Donation procurement: Assist board/staff members with procurement from local businesses for fundraisers and events
Interactive
Ushers: guiding patrons to seats and answering questions
Maestro Club attendant: assisting members with seating and questions
Parking attendant: guide patrons to available parking and Maestro Club members to exclusive
parking
Lobby attendant: refer patrons and members to assigned entrance, answer questions about the
event or organization, promotion table
Event supplies (pick up and delivery): picking up flowers for soloists, food for musicians, any last
minute items needed
Creative
Storytime writers and illustrators: create original content to be used for online family storytime
Storytime readers and musicians: read and/or musically illustrate chosen books for online family
storytime
Photography/video editing: work with video production manager and media manager to create
content for advertising
Event planning/decorating: helping create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for Maestro Club
receptions, fundraising Gala, and other events throughout the season.
Educational crafts: create children’s crafts for online family storytime, OrKIDstra, or other educational events
Social Media Cheerleader: Content creation and sharing for social media interaction
